First Quarter

First Quarter is DONE!

We've been having tons of fun :). We just had our second event just this past weekend with Moanalua this past saturday Oct.2nd. Hope to see you all back on Friday :).

Hello Everybody!~

I would just like to welcome all of our new members, and welcome back those who returmed!

Just a few reminders:

- Sakura Club Dues are due soon, they are $10. If you don't pay, you can't participate in outside activities.

- Meeting on Wednesday ( Tomorrow)

We will be having an ice breaker so you can meet your fellow club members

-Your friends can still join the club this week, bring them along to the meeting :).

-Meeting day is still scheduled to change at the moment. Please check the blog for updates.

2010-2011 school year

Hi, this Caitlyn, and I'm the Sakura Club historian for the next school year.
We hope to raise this club up, and get as many members as possible. To do that, we will work as hard as we can, and do our best. If you have any comments or suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated. We hope to see you next year, and we hope that you'll help us! Thank you!!

Since we are the Sakura Club, this is a little article I wrote about it..

Sakura-Cherry Blossom

The Sakura trees have blossomed recently!~In Japan there is a thing called Hanami, or flower viewing. People go to the park and have a picnic under the trees. There are trees outside of Japan. For example, Washington DC, Hawaii, Washington state, California...They're all over the place!

This is one I saw in California last month.

Isn't is beautiful?

AND besides it being a cherry blossom tree there are also a lot of songs about it that you can check out :D

When I saw the Sakura tree in full bloom for the first time in my life I was so amazed and happy. I thought I was dreaming. I understand why it is cherished so much. To me Sakura marks the beggining of spring. Happy Spring~

Hello

Just to let you know, elections for the next 2010-2011 Sakura Club offiers will be taking place this upcoming Friday, Feb.19th, Hope to see you there!~

There is also an ongoing fundraiser. Our club is selling Papa John's carry out cards for $10, all of the profits go to us, and it comes with a free book :D. So if you would like to help sell some, please see one of the officers.

As always, if there are any ideas out there, please leave a comment bellow.
